Location: 9723 Coppertop Loop, Suite 204 (across from Sakai)
Math Club for 3rd & 4th Graders Mondays, 1:00-2:30 PM Spring session: April 9 - June 11, 2018 Text: Primary Grade Challenge Math, Zaccaro This club is for 3rd & 4th graders who are ready for math problem-solving at the 4th/5th/6th grade level. Special Events: Noetic Contest, Monday, April 16 in math club WSMC Math Olympiad, Saturday, April 28 at Sakai Transportation: Blakely, Ordway, Commodore students ride the school bus to Coppertop Park. Wilkes students can join a carpool. Facilitators: Judy Levine and David Cosman Enrollment Limit: 26
Math Club for 5th Graders Thursdays, 7:30-8:40 AM Spring session: April 12 - June 14, 2018 Text: Becoming a Problem Solving Genius, Zaccaro Special Events: Noetic Contest, Thursday, April 12 in math club WSMC Math Olympiad, Saturday, April 28 at Sakai Facilitator: Judy Levine Enrollment Limit: 18
Math Club for 6th/7th Graders Fridays, 7:30-8:40 AM Spring session: April 13 - June 15, 2018 Special Events: Noetic Contest, Friday, April 13 in math club WSMC Math Olympiad, Saturday, April 28 at Sakai Facilitator: Judy Levine Enrollment Limit: 18
Math Circle for 8th Graders Mondays, 2:00-3:30 PM Spring session: April 9 - June 4, 2018 Special Events: Noetic Contest, Monday, April 9 or 16 in math club WSMC Math Olympiad, Saturday, April 28 at Sakai Facilitators: Judy Levine and David Cosman Enrollment Limit: 12

$100 Fee for spring term covers facility rental, materials, subscriptions, contest entry fees, and awards. Please bring a check made out to Judy Levine on the first day.
Family members are encouraged to volunteer as mentors (parents and or older siblings).
Math club is a vibrant and lively community of mentors and learners.
Note: Clubs do not meet on holidays or conference days.
STRIVING - The BI Math Club supports students as they strive to reach their potential in mathematics. Students are encouraged to use their ALKES.com and EPGY K-7 Mathematics accounts for continuous progress.
PROBLEM SOLVING - The BI Math Club has mathematical problem solving activities for students who are curious about mathematical logic and reasoning.
COLLABORATING - The BI Math Club mentors guide participants to develop skills for working together: brainstorming, generalizing, explaining, illustrating, presenting, listening, and evaluating.
COMPETING - The BI Math Club also supports students who enjoy participating in team and individual math contests and competitions.
I just wanted to give you a big, HUGE shout-out to tell you how much we appreciate all you've done for our children. Your passion and dedication to math and beyond has been such a gift to our community. Specifically, this year has been THE year for taking our son to the level he wants/needs to be. It's been such an incredible growth year.
Thank you for making math a sport! You have infused energy and enthusiasm into math education, and created many cohorts of kids who feel connected in areas of strength. You've made outstanding academic ability something to be celebrated and supported. You are the energy and driving force helping us all be our best, for the sake of our kids.
