Verbal Club for 5th-8th Graders Monday, 7:30-8:40 AM Winter session: Jan 7 - Mar 25, 2019 Club members will engage in a variety of fun activities designed to build verbal skills. Activities include vocabulary development, spelling bees, word games, and the National WordMasters Challenge. WordMasters Contest dates are Feb 11 and April 15. Improv Theater Club for 5th-8th Graders Wednesday, 7:30-8:40 AM Winter session: Jan 2 - Mar 27, 2019 Start the day off with a smile. Improv games: Freeze, Ding, Attrition, Infomercial, Dinner Party, Emotions, Hitch Hiker, Mundane Sports, Fortune Teller, Slide Show, and more! New for Winter term: Check Please by Jonathan Rand. Character roles include a kleptomaniac, an over the top sports fan, a hopeless romantic, a hypochondriac, and a mime. Performance for friends and family March 27, 7:30 AM. Destination Imagination (DI) Rising Stars for 1st & 2nd Graders Friday, 2:45-4:00 PM Winter session: Jan 4 - Mar 22, 2019 DI Rising Stars teams build a life size pop-up book to tell a story inspired by fiction and nonfiction. They create a play which includes the pop-up book, costumes, props, a technical device, and an improv item. Performances for family Feb 8, 3:45 - 4:00 PM, & March 22, 3:45 - 4:00 PM. DI Regional Tournament, Klahowya Secondary School, Silverdale, Saturday, March 2nd, time TBA. Life-Ins DI Team for 3rd-4th Graders Friday, 2:45-5:00 PM Winter session: Jan 4 - Mar 22, 2019 Fine Arts Challenge: Game On, bring a game to life with a story line, costumes, props, technical devices, and scenery.
