Verbal Club for 5th-8th Graders Monday, 7:30-8:40 AM Spring session: Apr 8 - Jun 17, 2019 Club members will engage in a variety of fun activities designed to build verbal skills. Activities include vocabulary development, spelling bees, word games, and the National WordMasters Challenge. WordMasters Contests April 15. Improv Theater Club for 5th-8th Graders Wednesday, 7:30-8:40 AM Spring session: Apr 10 - Jun 19, 2019 Start the day off with a smile. Improv games: Freeze, Ding, Attrition, Infomercial, Dinner Party, Emotions, Hitch Hiker, Mundane Sports, Fortune Teller, Slide Show, and more! Continuing for Spring term: Check Please by Jonathan Rand. Character roles include a kleptomaniac, an over the top sports fan, a hopeless romantic, a hypochondriac, and a mime. Destination Imagination (DI) Rising Stars for 1st & 2nd Graders Wednesday, 2:30-4:00 PM Spring session: Apr 10 - Jun 19, 2019 Friday, 2:30-4:00 PM Spring session: Apr 12 - Jun 14, 2019 DI Rising Stars work in small groups to create short plays using their own ideas and creations. Performances for family and friends Wednesday, June 12, 3:30 PM, Friday June 14, 3:30 PM. DI Engineering and Improv Club for 5th-7th Graders Wednesday, 3:30-5:00 PM Spring session: Apr 10 - Jun 19, 2019 Friday, 3:30-5:00 PM Spring session: Apr 12 - Jun 14, 2019 Solve a skill and performance based Instant Challenges. Choose Engineering or Improv as a project focus. Engineering Project: Build a light weight balsa structure that can support maximum weight. Best weight held ratio wins! Improv Project: Solve the Pandemonium improv challenge from 2013 (yes there will be face paint). Performances for family and friends TBA $120 for either Wednesday or Friday $200 for both Wednesday and Friday

High School students make excellent mentors. This is a wonderful opportunity for leadership training and practice. Community service hours will be awarded.
